DREAM

THE FOREST WILD

To Kids, Teachers, Families and Friends:

After 20 years, the Children's Eternal Rainforest (Bosque Eterno de los Niños, BEN) and its creatures are still wild and safe. We hope the amazing story of how the forest was saved will remind you that ALL of us are interconnected! The future of rainforests, and our planet, depends on everyone.

Your Dream will keep the BEN wild, safe and ETERNAL.

FAQ

How does making pictures help the rainforest?

When you make pictures of the rainforest and its wild creatures, you are getting to know them in your mind, heart, imagination and dreams.

This is a wonderful way to help, because when you imagine something, it becomes close to your heart, and, in a sense, becomes a part of you. When we all understand that we are not separate from each other or nature, we will take better care of our home, the Earth!

THE PROJECT:

First, READ THE STORY HERE.

Then DOWNLOAD the story.

LEARN ABOUT RAINFORESTS---why they are so important for our future (check our contacts and pictures pages for links to some great educational resources ---and more will be coming soon).

Have fun making YOUR OWN PICTURES. (Jim enjoys drawing his animals, and doesn't mind it if no one recognizes them).

If your teachers have time to SEND YOUR FAVORITE ART to us AS YOU MAKE IT (jpg best), we will put it up here in the story on a revolving basis (using first name, age, school or group to identify each artist).

TEACHERS: You can put pages together for a class book/display in your classroom/copy for more books, etc.

Suggestions for Kids:

Use the empty spaces on the story pages for YOUR ART.

Use the back of the pages. Save trees (paper) and make MORE ART.

You can cut and paste the text in different ways, print the text in your own handwriting, etc. Be creative!

Remember to invite the BEN and all its wild creatures into your dreams.

Teachers/Principals

1) Let us know your class or school is a Friend of the BEN! Send us kids' comments and we will post them here.

2) We invite you to send us your finished books (PDF is best) and we will "publish" them here on the web. honoring your school or class.

OUR dream is to include some of your art in a final beautiful published book, one that will find its way into the homes of kids around the world.

KIDS: IF YOU JUST WANT TO MAKE A PICTURE OR TWO, SEE
FAQ #1

If your class also wishes to raise funds for the BEN, there are of course lots of ways to have fun doing this. One possibility is to have a class performance of Dream The Forest Wild! Let us know if you would like more suggestions that have worked for other schools.

THANK YOU FOR DREAMING THE FOREST WILD
