1. QUESTION: What if I just want to make some art for the story? Do I have to be part of a class or group?
ANSWER: No! (SUMMER 2008 KIDS' ART WANTED!)
You can help by making a picture (or more) to illustrate your favorite part(s) of the story. This can be one line, one stanza, etc. If you wish, you can use the story's photo links as guides ---and copy them (in your own way, of course). Remember, this is not a contest --please have fun!
If your teacher or parent e-mails your art to us (jpg best), we will put it up here in the story on a revolving basis. (Contact us to send by postal mail --never send originals).
Your art will make the story more fun and inspire visitors to keep coming back to the site. We think this will mean a larger community of kids and schools who might be inspired to learn about the Children's Eternal Rainforest.
NOTE: We will identify artists by first name only, age and school/group/location. If you are under 13, you must ask a parent, teacher or guardian about sending your art, and your parent or guardian must give their written permission. If you are between the ages of 13-18, you can send art directly, but it’s always good to tell an adult family member first. They might want to help the forest too.
2. QUESTION: I’m a teenager. Am I too old for this?
ANSWER: No!
Many of the original kids who saved the forest were in high school. And, even college! You can set a great example for younger kids. Send your pictures for the story and we will publish them here.
3. QUESTION: My teacher wants to know more. What can i tell her?
ANSWER: Ask her to contact us with questions and we will be in touch. Make sure she sees the site and reads the story first.
4. QUESTION: What percentage of my Dream the Forest Wild donations sent to the MCL will go toward helping the Children’s Eternal Rainforest?
ANSWER: 100%. (We will experiment soon with some Google ads to help defray our expenses. We thank you for supporting the site by clicking on the ads).
