Dr. Joan Borysenko, Ph.D. Dr. Borysenko is a world renowned pioneer in integrative medicine, author, lecturer and expert in the mind/body connection. Her work has been foundational in an international health-care revolution that recognizes the role of meaning, and the spiritual dimensions of life, as an integral part of health and healing. She is the author of 15 books, including NY Times bestseller Minding the Body, Mending the Mind, and is a gracious and empowering presenter who lectures, holds workshops, and educates internationally.


Dr. Jerry Jampolsky, M.D. and Dr. Diane Cirincione, Ph.D. Dr. Jerry Jampolsky is the founder of Attitudinal Healing, a global movement based on the healing power of forgiveness and unconditional love. He and his wife Dr. Diane Cirincione are pioneers together in the mind/body consciousness movement, tireless educators, global humanitarians and prolific authors. Their books include Love is Letting Go of Fear and many others. They are currently collaborating with Carlos Santana on Architects of a New Dawn, an arts and media project to create positive planetary change and healing.


Mark Roby. Mark is a cancer survivor and coach and co-founder of the Metro Detroit Center for Attitudinal Healing. He is writing a book about his own miraculous healing journey, including interviews with integrative cancer pioneers worldwide. As a professional speaker for the past 15 years, he presents dynamic and empowering programs on complementary medicine and integrative cancer care.

Dr. Bernie Siegel, Distinguished Honorary Advisor. Bernie is an internationally renowned inspirational speaker, author and former surgeon. His numerous books and recordings for both adults and children (including Love, Medicine & Miracles) inspire healing, hope and courage to people living with cancer around the world. He is the founder of Exceptional Cancer Patients, an organization which affirms the healing potential in every person. His philosophy is at the forefront of medical ethics and spiritual issues in healing, and he has touched countless lives on our planet with kindness and wisdom.

Jim Crisp, MBA. Jim is a conservation biologist & ecologist who has been a non-profit Director and strategic planning consultant for over 25 years. His study of alternative and indigenous healing modalities grew as he explored all options available to his wife Sue, the founder of EMCF, in her battle with breast cancer.


Ann Fonfa, Founder and President, The Annie Appleseed Project, a cancer CAM educational organization serving 85,000 people monthly online. Ann is a breast cancer survivor who successfully used alternative treatments for her recovery, and is a tireless and distinguished international educator, author, reviewer, and advocate. She serves on many national panels and review boards.

Connie Hampton, R.N., Operations Manager, Pain Centers of America. Connie is a traditionally trained nurse who believes that integrative medicine is the key to empowering individuals to attain their innate health and wellness.


Dr. Steven Hecht, DC, MPH, MMHS, MA. Steve is a chiropractic physician and MPH graduate of Columbia University. He is a lifelong patient advocate in complementary healing modalities, and through integrative medicine has himself successfully managed a chronic disease for 25 years.


Karyn Laws, MA, LMHC. Karyn is a holistic psychotherapist and energy healing practitioner in practice for over 25 years. She brings experience and wisdom on women's health issues and alternative healing modalities.

Kate Levinter. Kate as the daughter of Sue Memhard, the founder of EMCF, she understands the importance of daughters supporting their mothers who are on alternative healing paths. She brings practicality and wisdom to her interest in integrative medicine and the mission of the EMCF.


Brenda Michaels, National Talk Show Host, life coach, holistic counselor, national speaker and author. A 3-time cancer survivor, Brenda is an expert in the fields of self help, alternative healing and the consciousness movement. She has interviewed many prominent and visionary individuals, including Dr. Bernie Siegal, Suzanne Somers and others. She is dedicated to inspiring people to make a difference.

Angelena Craig, Founder, The New Aging Movement. Angelena has founded, directed and consulted to non-profit organizations for over 30 years. She is a Kripalu Yoga instructor and a lifelong integrative medicine advocate.


Dr. Susan Silberstein, Ph.D. Susan is Founder and Executive Director of the Center for Advancement in Cancer Education. An author, editor, cancer coach and international speaker on nutrition, cancer prevention and integrative medicine, she has appeared on hundreds of radio and TV talks shows and lectures frequently for medical & nursing schools, hospitals, and other organizations. Susan is both a Phi Beta Kappa and Fulbright scholar and is the recipient of numerous awards for her continuing work in cancer education.

Edward (Ted) Webster, business and non-profit Founder and President, consultant and author. His passion for healthy living is reflected in his success as a former triathalon athelete and current national ranking as a Master swimmer. Most recently, Ted is the Founding Director of The Jubilee Center, dedicated to personal and global healing.


Nancy Foster, Board Secretary. Nancy is a Denver area realtor & tax accountant with particular interest and expertise in non-profit organizations, as well as an interest in integrative medicine. She is the Founding President of The Foster Family Children's Foundation.


Laura M. Fleming, President, SRS Crisafulli, Montana. Laura is a graduate of Stanford University & The Bejing Institute, and has studied Chinese medicine & acupuncture. She is a former massage therapist & has an ongoing interest in evidence-based alternative and integrative medicine.

Sue Memhard, M.Ed., Founder, Board President. Sue was an internationally collected artist, poet, children's author and holistic counselor. She was a 3-time breast cancer survivor via conventional, complementary & alternative care, and is a passionate advocate of choice in health care treatment.

Dr. Lisa Corbin, MD, FACP. Medical Director, Center for Integrative Medicine, University of Colorado Hospital, Aurora, CO; Associate Professor, Division of GIM, University of Colorado Denver School of Medicine. Dr. Corbin is a passionate, dynamic and distinguished clinician, teacher, researcher, author, advisor, consultant and national speaker on integrative medicine. She also lends her expertise to several CAM committees and boards.

Robert A. Anderson. Bob is an esteemed portrait painter with years of service in the non-profit world. His portrait clients have included former Yale Chaplain/peace activist William Sloan Coffin, former Boston Symphony conductor Seiji Ozawa, former President George W. Bush, and many other dignitaries. He has served as Founder, President, Advisor and Member on numerous boards and brings wisdom, wit and professionalism, as well as support for integrative medicine, to our mission.


Jeannine Walston, co-founder and Executive Director of EmbodiWorks, a non-profit organization providing integrative cancer care resources. Her career includes work in the U.S. Congress, government agencies such as the NCCAM at NIH, the National Cancer Institute and the FDA; cancer non-profit organizations, and health care practices. A cancer survivor, Jeannine is dedicated to empowering people and improving cancer care.


Elyn Jacobs, Executive Director and President. Elyn is President of Elyn Jacobs Consulting, Inc., a breast cancer survivor, cancer empowerment coach and professional blogger. She helps women diagnosed with cancer navigate the process of treatment and care, and educates about how to prevent recurrence. She is passionate about helping others move forward into a life of health and wellbeing.
